YOKOHAMA, Japan (Reuters) - Japan's Sanfrecce Hiroshima beat part-timers Auckland City 1-0 in the opening game of the Club World Cup on Thursday when FIFA used goal-line technology for the first time.

Toshihiro Aoyama's game saving dive in the 66th minute lit up the crowd and sent the J-League champions into the quarter-finals where they will face Egypt's Al-Ahly.

The match was the first in which soccer's governing body officially used the goal technology although there was little opportunity to test its effectiveness in a game of few chances.

New technologies ready to assist NFL referees

A tough call on first down, the refs determine an NFL teams fate in a tough game. The referee tunes out the stadium loudness, puts on a pair of goggles, and enters virtual reality. He sees the field as a three-dimensional way. He focuses on the yellow line seeing the distance needed for a first down. From his eye of view, the line rips through the tip of the ball. The referee signals a first down, backed by the kind of computer-generated accuracy that thrills engineers and silences critics.

Honda Develops Three New Sport Hybrid Systems

What- Honda Motor Company has announced the development of a new Sports Hybrid. It The company has three different versions of the Sport Hybrid system to support each other.

When- This nice ride will be released sometime in 2014.

How- The Honda Motor Company has made this car for a success.

Who- Again, the Honda Motor Company brainstormed this car.

Where- This car will be unveiled all around the world.

My Opinion- This car is a coll, hot ride that everyone should have. If I could drive, this is the first car I will get.

Troy University goes high tech with new Trojan Arena

 

What- Troy University goes big with technology as they make their field better. This is for their college basketball stadium. They now have a bigger better scoreboard and can sit 30,000 m0ore fans and parents. This is great for Troy.

 

Where- Troy University is in New York

 

Who-The sports and school district of Troy made this happen.

 

How- Workers installed more seats and the scoreboard.

My Opinion- I think this was a better idea for the school and the fans. They have more space and it is easier to look at the score,

 

Apple Profits Rise 24% on iPhone 5 Sales

What- The iPhone 5 sales only produce apple 24% in profit.

Why- The iPhone 5 has some technical difficulties such as 5g not doing good, and a purple glare in the picture of the phone.

Where- The iPhone 5 has not been selling good around the globe.

When- Today and previous days the iPone has still been fixed but Apple producers are working on it.

My Opinion- I think it is a waste to buy the iPhone because there still is problems with it and I would rather wait for something historic to come out.

Wiki Research

1. Wiki can be used in social studies for a research paper or a biography project about someone in English.

2. The benefits of Wiki are it is so fast and it gives you alot of info on a specific person. You can also get notes and links to other networks. Finally, you can edit the sight.

3. We can create a Wiki on all technology related sources. We can utilize it for technology articles and other things.

4. I have used Wikiepedia for some projects in school but not a lot. I have never created one but look foward to do so.

What- Verizons income sales have been producing. It produces 15.5% and rose $1.59 billon from last year. It produced double-digit earnings.

 

Who- Lowell C. McAdam, Verizon’s chairman and chief, made all this happen.

 

When- Verizon sales income is producing by the minute in the United States.

 

How- People have been buying a lot of

Verizon phones and devices.

 

My Opinion- I think Verizon incomes will be growing for a while because of the new phones and devices. The charts say so.

For Some Drivers, an Electric Motorcycle Could Be the Best of Both Worlds

 

      

Where- The Electric Motorcycle/Car came out in San Francisco

What- The motorcycle/car is something that makes it easier to drive. You can zip around traffic and get by cars a whole lot easier. 

When- It came out July 21st 2011 in San Francisco

Why- This great invention came out so motorcycle riders can ride easier and smoother.

Who- Daniel Kim, the chief producer of this excellent ride, came up with it.

Opinion- I think this motorcycle is a great idea because people in cars can see the motorcycles now because it is bigger.

  Fantasy Football is a great online game that you can play with all of your friends and family. You can also play with people you don't even know. It was created by a husband and wife. You can get any football player under the sun. I prefer using espn.com because the scoring for every player is even. Cbs.com is unfair scoring. Fantasy Football is great! 

My Weekend

 I really could no do anything outside, but inside I did things

• Played Madden 13 (scored 8 touuchdowns with Mike Vick a new record!)
• Went to my soccer game and we got mauled 8-3\
• Watched the Jets beat the Dolphins 23-20
• And lastly, I watched the Ravens Beat the stupid, stinky, stingy Patriots

Wooden Bats Vs. Aluminum Bats

Aluminum bats can send the baseball much more farther than the wooden bat can. This is because aluminum bats are lighter and are more easy to get your bat speed higher. Wooden bats are heavier and are full of stuff inside. Wood bats range from $20-$200 while aluminum bats cost $100-$400. Lastly, safety. Wooden bats can break very easily if used to much. Aluminum bats don't break as easily. Aluminum bats are the best bat to have!
